Dry Fork River Sunday Pot-luck Cook-out and Swim

A pot-luck cook-out on the Dryfork River along Brooklyn Heights Rd. in Parsons - 4 miles from the Subway Deli in town and about 1/2 mile past the Hendricks Swinging bridge (pedestrian cable suspension bridge).  

--> At the Johnson Hole along the river - just look for vehicles parked along the river just past Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Camp.  Clean porta-Potties on site.

--> So bring some food for the grill if you like or other snacks or appetizers for youself or to share.... I will have lots to share regardless.  Bring your favorite beer or wine and chill on the river.   

--> We will have the cinderblock grill pit cranking as well as bon-fire.

Tables and chairs on site... but if you have a favorite camping chair, bring it.

--> Bring your favorite drinks and food for yourselves and/or to share..... I'll have lots to share either way.

--> --> I'll have hot dogs and burgers, buffalo chicken dip, chips and dip, some desserts, some cold drinks....

--> Bring tubes or kayaks, watershoes, bathing suits and enjoy the clear waters of the Dryfork river at the Johnson Hole (Hendricks community swimhole for generations).   I will have 4 tubes on site.

Johnson Hole is great for fishing too!

--> We will be hanging around all day

--> Tour the new campground while you are visiting and/or the Fernow Experimental Forest and this beautiful dead end riverfront wilderness road just a few miles back to Parsons.   4 miles from the Subway deli in Parsons to the camp and swim hole.
